Phillie MC
Phillie MC (born August 5, 1974 in Stadtoldendorf ; real name Oliver Sauerland ) is a German rapper , songwriter and owner of a record label .
Life
Sauerland grew up in the small town of Bodenwerder . In his childhood he noticed his love for music and started producing. He became known through the song Unkraut , which was in the German charts for nine weeks in 2001. The song was the first single on his album Schöne neue Welt , which mainly deals with and criticizes neo-Nazism in Germany.
Meanwhile, Phillie MC appears under the pseudonym "Jonny Bockmist" and was a member of the punk band Crashing Brieftauben from 2013 to 2017 under this name . Oliver Sauerland also owns a record label in Hannover-Linden .
