Oliver Stirböck (born November 20, 1967 ) is a Hessian politician ( FDP ) and a business graduate . He is an elected member of the Hessian state parliament for the 20th legislative period.

Political career

Oliver Stirböck has been a member of the city ​​council of Offenbach am Main since 1993, from 2001 to 2019 he was chairman of the FDP parliamentary group.

Outside the municipal level, Stirböck gained political experience as deputy federal chairman of the Young Liberals for press work (1993–1994) and for programming (1996–1998) and as chairman of the media commission of the Hessian FDP from 1998 to 2008. Since 2009 he belongs to the FDP state executive and is also the party's deputy district chairman in Rhein-Main. Since 2014 he has been a member of the nine-member presidium of the Hessian FDP. He is also a member of the regional assembly of South Hesse.

Stirböck was twice a candidate for the Bundestag (2002 and 2005) in the Offenbach constituency and already applied for the Hessian state parliament in the state elections in 2009 and 2013 . In the state elections in Hesse in 2018 , he ran again as a direct candidate for the FDP in constituency 43 and received 5.8% of the votes there. In the state parliament, he came ninth on the FDP list for election to the 20th Hessian state parliament. In the FDP parliamentary group in the state parliament, he is the spokesman for digitization and Europe. He is also a member of the parliamentary committee for economy, energy and housing, the committee for digital and data protection and the European committee.

Stirböck studied business administration at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main and graduated with a degree in business administration. Stirböck works as a media consultant for companies, parties, political organizations and individual politicians. He also trains companies and their employees in the areas of advertising and presentation.
