Oliver Thomas (singer)
Oliver Thomas (actually: Oliver Dyba , born January 1, 1977 in Alpirsbach ) is a German pop singer .
Life
Oliver Thomas grew up with his brother Karsten in Alpirsbach. During his high school years, Oliver performed as a solo entertainer with his own singing and imitation show at galas and celebrations. He was discovered by the copywriter Irma Holder . She made contact with the music producer Jean Frankfurter . In February 1997 Oliver Thomas made his first television appearance and from then on won several TV hit parades. Since then, Thomas has been present in TV shows, including ZDF TV Garden and Welcome to Carmen Nebel auf.
In the period from 1997 to 2005, five albums were produced with him on the Montana label.
In 2006 the first concept album followed, on which Oliver Thomas was also active as a producer and can be heard as a songwriter with his own titles and arrangements. Stylistically, the album is based u. a. on the hits of the 1970s, that's how the strings of the Munich Philharmonic are used.
In 2007 a best-of CD was released for the 15th stage anniversary, which also included new titles.
Oliver Thomas switched to Palm Records. The track Rosenrot was released as the first single on this label in early 2009. This was followed by other albums such as Spiegelbild , Voll caught and Courageous , on which he was again active as a composer, arranger, lyricist and producer.
Since the beginning of 2016 Thomas has hit rockier tones and changed his style. New titles like Heroes appear on his newly founded label A&O Records.
