Olivia MFSK is a teletype mode in amateur radio .

Olivia was published in 2004 by the Polish physicist and radio amateur Paweł Jałocha ( amateur radio call sign SP9VRC). It is suitable for difficult transmission conditions, as they are typical on shortwave (low signal-to-noise ratio and multi-path reception ). The signal can still be decoded if it is 10… 15  dB weaker than the noise.

The signal is sent with multiple frequency shift keying (MFSK) and forward error correction (FEC). An Olivia signal can have various formats, the most common being a bandwidth of 1000 Hz with 32 tones. The baud rate is then 31.25 and the center frequency is 1000 Hz.
