Olivier Thill (born December 17, 1996 ) is a Luxembourg national soccer player who plays for FK Ufa in the Russian Premier League .

Career

In addition to FC Progrès Niederkorn, he played in youth for FC Rodingen 91 and CS Fola Esch . At the age of only 16 he became a regular for the then second division club FC Rodingen 91 for the 2013/14 season. In the summer of 2015, he then moved back to his home club Progrès Niederkorn.

On August 27, 2018, he switched to the Russian first division club FK Ufa , after Thill and his club Progrès Niederkorn were opponents of Ufa in the Europa League qualification and showed an outstanding performance in both games. His contract runs until 2022.

National team

Thill played for the Luxembourg national soccer team for the first time on August 31, 2017 in the World Cup qualification at home against Belarus (1-0) and played over 90 minutes. Also in the qualifying game three days later in Toulouse against France (0-0) he was on the field for the entire season. Thill scored his first goal for Luxembourg in a 1-1 draw in the World Cup qualification on October 10, 2017 at home against Bulgaria .

He is the son of former national player Serge Thill . His brothers Vincent ( US Orléans ) and Sebastien ( FC Progrès Niederkorn ) also play for Luxembourg .
