The Olliver Peak is a 630 m high mountain at the Amundsen-coast in the Antarctic Ross Dependency . It is the northwesternmost peak of the Gabbro Hills and rises on the eastern flank of the mouth of the Barrett Glacier in the Ross Ice Shelf .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him in 1966 by Commander George R. Olliver from the United States Navy , which the unsuccessful attempt to start an on Dec. 22, 1955 de Havilland Canada DHC-3 Otter near the Cape Bird on Ross Island was injured .
