The Olson Glacier is a glacier in East Antarctica, Victoria Land . It flows from the Malta Plateau in the Victory Mountains in a westerly direction to the Seafarer Glacier .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it based on its own surveys and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1960 to 1962. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1970 after Richard D. Olson of the Department of Polar Programs of the National Science Foundation , who by 1967 to 1968 was responsible for administrative activities on the McMurdo station .
