The Olstad Peak is a 650  m (according to British data 640  m ) high mountain in the center of the island of Annenkov Island in the archipelago of South Georgia .

The British navigator James Cook discovered it in 1775 during his second voyage to the South Seas. The South Georgia Survey took surveys between 1951 and 1957 . The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1958 after the Norwegian zoologist Ola Olstad (1885–1969), who participated in the two first Antarctic voyages with the whaler Norvegia (1927–1928 under Captain Harald Horntvedt (1879–1946 ), financed by the Norwegian whaling entrepreneur Lars Christensen ) and 1928–1929 under Captain Nils Larsen (1900–1976)) had participated.
