Fridolf Weurlander

Johan Fridolf Weurlander (born January 9, 1851 in Kuopio , Grand Duchy of Finland ; † May 27, 1900 ibid) was a Finnish landscape painter from the Düsseldorf School .

Life

Weurlander, son of the postman Johan Henrik Weurlander and his wife Maria Elisabet, née Rissanen, attended the drawing school of the Finnish Art Association from 1872 to 1875. Then he went to Germany , where he lived in Munich and Bernried from 1875 to 1877 Starnberger See stayed. After he had meanwhile returned to his birthplace Kuopio, he lived in Düsseldorf between 1878 and 1879 .
