The gymnastics competition on parallel bars for men at the Olympic Games in Athens in 1896 was held in the Panathinaiko Stadium on April 9th . It was the sixth gymnastics competition of the Games, in which 16 athletes from 4 nations competed. Olympic champion was the German Alfred Flatow , ahead of his compatriot Alfred Flatow, who won his first individual medal.
