geography

The island in the Airai area , together with the islands of Garreru , Ngedert and Ngeream, form the eastern boundary in the southern section of the Toachel Mid canal between Babeldaob and Koror . Only narrow channels separate the islands from each other. The coastline is characterized by mangroves and the rugged structure of the former reef crown . The island is the southernmost island in the channel. However, the top of the reef extends for almost a kilometer before the Toachel Mid joins the Arangel Channel . The island is densely forested and uninhabited.
