Ondori Island ( Japanese お ん ど り 島 Ondori-jima , German 'Hahneninsel' ) is an island off the Prince Harald coast of the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . In the Flatvær group , it is 1.5 km north of Ongul Island and 1.3 km west of Nesøya in the north-eastern part of Lützow-Holm Bay .
Surveys and aerial photographs of the Japanese Antarctic expedition, which was carried out from 1957 to 1962, were used to map them. The designation made by Japanese scientists in 1972 based on that of Mendori Island was translated into English by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names in 1975.
