One Inch Punch was an American hip-hop band that was formed in Los Angeles in 1995 and disbanded in 1997.

history

One Inch Punch was the direct follow-up to The Justin Warfield Supernaut , in which both Gianni Garofalo and Justin Warfield previously played and released an album. The only album Tao of the One Inch Punch , produced by Tim Simenon , is still considered one of the most important albums that bridged the gap from indie pop to hip hop . The track Metaphysics was created in collaboration with rapper Mannish . After a tour, u. a. even through Germany , where One Inch Punch was received with great enthusiasm, it became very quiet around the band until Warfield showed up with new music projects. The band's style was influenced by Supernaut (predecessor band ), Guided by Voices , Sonic Youth , Beck , Mobb Deep and Wu-Tang-Clan . She herself had a significant influence on the bands that influenced Tape (follow-up) and She Wants Revenge (follow-up). Depeche Mode with the single Barrel of a Gun and the band Placebo with the single Bruise Pristine each brought out a One Inch Punch Mix . Producer and DJ Tim Simenon ( Bomb the Bass ) remixed a song from One Inch Punch with the single Angela Davis .
