Will and Eva have a picture book relationship. Their intimate togetherness is suddenly interrupted when a mysterious ash suddenly falls from the sky. During a hospital stay, Will learns what to do. He rushes home with Eva and hermetically seals the doors and windows. Weeks become months and years in which they have to survive in a hostile world.
