In 2002 he was given a professional contract here, but continued to play for the reserve team. But he also took part in the training of the professionals and made his professional debut on the last day of the season against Galatasaray Istanbul . For the new season he was loaned to the third division Gaziantep Büyükşehir Belediyespor . The loan contract came about because both clubs are benevolent and support each other with players. At Gaziantep BB Okan was a regular player, so his loan contract was extended for another season at the end of the season. In the second season he made his breakthrough here. With 18 league goals, he became the club's most successful goalscorer. His club ended the third division season 2004/05 as champions and rose to the TFF 1st Lig .

After promotion to the TFF 1st Lig Okan finally moved to Gaziantep BB. Here, however, he only played the first half of the first division season and was loaned to Siirtspor for the second half . He spent the following season as a loan player at Gaskispor. During the winter break, he dissolved his current contracts with Gaskispor and Gaziantep BB and moved to third division side Adana Demirspor . By the next summer he returned to Gaskispor and spent the next season with this club.

From the summer of 2008 Okan played in turn for Kahramanmaraşspor , Gaziantep BB and Hatayspor .

In spring 2011 Okan moved to third division Fethiyespor . In his second season for Fethiyespor, the team reached the playo finals, lost here to Adana Demirspor and so missed promotion to the TFF 1st Lig . In the 2012/13 season he reached the play-off finals again with the team. This time succeeded the playoff victory of the TFF 2. Lig and thus the promotion to the TFF 1. Lig. Okan was with eleven league goals behind Ekrem Sarıçam with 17 goals the second most successful goalscorer of his club.
