Operation Hannibal

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

With the Operation Hannibal , according to will, Victor Ostrovsky (as The World and the North German Radio Play), Israel in the time of the first Gulf War weapons to Iran have delivered. Specifically, parts for the McDonnell F-4 fighter aircraft are said to have been delivered. Since Israel was hostile to Iran, however, the business is said to have been carried out via third countries, for example in the German city of Kiel . Israel is said to have promised to strengthen Iran in the war against Iraq. Israel is also said to have Iranian soldiers in Schleswig-Holsteinhave trained on flight simulators . The Mossad , the Federal Intelligence Service and Uwe Barschel are said to have been aware of the operation. Barschel is said to have objected to an expansion of the operation and planned to testify after the Barschel affair . The Mossad was unable to take this risk, which is why Barschel is said to have been killed on its behalf, Ostrovsky said.
