Opperkofen is a part of the municipality of Feldkirchen in the Lower Bavarian district of Straubing-Bogen .

Opperkofen is about one kilometer south of Feldkirchen.

history

The place is mentioned in the traditions of St. Emmeram Monastery as early as the 9th century : in 889/891 a noble named Waltunc exchanged a fiefdom at Otp Drehinchofa . The first duke's surbar from around 1228/1241 shows one of the few ducal estates and rights in the Straubing office : “Op Drehkoven ain hof der giltet sehs schaf rocken, ain swin or vierzic pfennige, drizic kaese, zwa gense, four hunre, one hundred aier. “The lordly court is also recorded in the box books of 1479 and 1502. At the time of conscription in 1752, there were four properties in Opperkofen, which belonged to the Mitterharthausen chairman .

In 1811 Opperkofen came to the tax district of Feldkirchen and when the community was formed in 1821 to the community of Mitterharthausen. With this it came in 1978 in the course of the regional reform in Bavaria to the municipality of Feldkirchen.

Attractions

  • Branch church of Our Lady of Sorrows. The small baroque complex from the late 17th century was enlarged after a fire in 1866 and a tower was added.
