Oqoltin is an urban-type settlement (shaharcha) in the Uzbek province of Andijon in the Fergana Valley and the capital of the Ulugʻnor district .
The place is about 55 km west of the provincial capital Andijon , about 30 km south of Namangan and about 30 km north of Marg'ilon .
In 2009 Oqoltin received urban-type settlement status. According to the 1989 population census, the place had 6522 inhabitants, according to a calculation for 2003 the population was 9000.
