Orahova is a place in the Bosnian municipality of Gradiška . It is located in the Bosanska Krajina between Gradiška and Kozarska Dubica on the right bank of the Sava , which forms the border with Croatia here, and has about 4,500 inhabitants.

Orahova was settled in the 1860s. The settlers came from Serbia . They were driven out of the country because of their Muslim religion. They were evicted from Orahova for the same reason during the Bosnian War , but returned almost entirely after the Dayton Treaty . In doing so, they thwarted the plans of the Serbian regional government at the time to permanently resettle Serbian refugees from Croatia in Orahova. Today the majority of the population are Bosniaks , Serbs represent a very small percentage of the population.

The three old mosques were blown up during the Bosnian War. These were rebuilt between 2001 and 2012 after the Bosniaks returned.
