As orange-red coalition (known as Chianti coalition ) is called in Austria a coalition between the Alliance for Austria's Future (BZÖ) and the Social Democratic Party of Austria (SPO). From 2005 to February 28, 2006 Carinthia was governed by an orange-red coalition.

The name Chianti coalition, coined by the media, is based on the fact that the BZÖ chairman Jörg Haider (at that time still with the FPÖ) and the SPÖ agreed on a glass of Chianti after the state elections in Carinthia in 2004 to form a coalition. After the split in the FPÖ under Haider, the blue-red coalition in Carinthia eventually became the first orange-red coalition. The name Chianti Coalition was still used.

After Gaby Schaunig terminated the orange-red coalition in Carinthia , it was converted into an orange-black coalition .
