Ship description

The slow-running two-stroke five-cylinder diesel engine of the Mitsui- Burmeister & Wain 5S5MC type generates 12,300 kW rated power, drives a variable-pitch propeller and gives the ship a rated speed of 18.5 kn.

The ship is equipped with four insulated holds like a typical refrigerator ship but without tween decks equipped with high holds. In the holds there are floor-to-ceiling stainless steel tanks for the transport of concentrated orange juice, which is driven at a temperature of −10 ° C. The tanks and lines are filled with nitrogen when empty and then run at a temperature of −10 ° C.

The deckhouse with the living and utility rooms for the crew, the bridge house and the engine room are located aft, here is also the free-fall lifeboat for 30 people.
