Ordem the Falintil

The Ordem das Falintil ( German order of the FALINTIL ) is an order of East Timor .

The Ordem das Falintil was awarded posthumously to the “ martyrs of the national struggle for freedom” against the Indonesian occupation of East Timor , who died on January 1, 1979. The Ordem Funu Nain is awarded to fighters who perished during the period of the resistance bases (1975–1978) . The Ordem das Falintil was introduced with the presidential decree 52/2006 and is awarded in three degrees.

The shape of the order is based on a belak and a kaibauk . On the front it bears the inscription "Combatente FALINTIL" ( German fighter FALINTIL ) and "Honra e Glória" ( German honor and fame ). On the back is the inscription "A última bala será a minha vitória" ( German The last bullet will be my victory ), the last words of FALINTIL commander Nicolau dos Reis Lobato .
