Oregon Music Hall of Fame
The Oregon Music Hall of Fame is an organization whose purpose is from the US - State of Oregon native musicians to appreciate and other music creators for your services to music in Oregon and its influence on the music world.
background
In the 1990s, an organization called the Oregon Music Coalition was formed. The members selected approximately 50 bands and musicians who together formed the Oregon Music Hall of Fame. However, over the following years interest waned and the Oregon Music Coalition disbanded. In 2004, a group of people interested in music came together with the goal of taking up and continuing the idea of the Oregon Music Coalition. For this purpose, a not-for-profit company was founded, which was named Oregon Music Hall of Fame.
The Oregon Music Hall of Fame accepted bands and musicians elected in the past and appoints new members by election every year. Musicians, music producers , radio disc jockeys and promoters can be nominated. The long-term goal is to operate its own building similar to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland , in which music exhibitions and seminars will then take place and the members of the Hall of Fame will be represented by the exhibition of memorabilia.
