Rebecca "Becky" Kilgore (born September 24, 1948 in Waltham , Massachusetts ) is an American jazz singer.

Rebecca Kilgore is particularly dedicated to the classic song repertoire of the Great American Songbook , which was popular in the 1930s and 1940s.
She did not begin to sing until the 1980s and has worked with pianist Dave Frishberg on her recordings and performances since the mid-1990s , mostly at her Portland, Oregon residence . Guest musicians during their recordings, especially on the Arbors label, were Bucky Pizzarelli , Michael Moore , Scott Robinson , Keith Ingham , Joe Wilder and Ken Peplowski . In 2000 she recorded a homage to the singer Maxine Sullivan ( Harlem Butterfly ). She also worked with her group BED ("Becky", Eddie Erickson (guitar / banjo / vocals) and Dan Barrett (trombone)). In Europe she has appeared with Lino Patruno and with the Echoes of Swing (also documented on albums). She has regular broadcasts on National Public Radio ( Fresh Air ) and has performed at New York's Carnegie Hall .
