Oresch ( Bulgarian : Ореш ) is a village in Bulgaria . It is part of the administrative area of ​​the city of Swishtov in the Veliko Tarnovo Oblast . Oresch is located on the right bank of the Danube , 257 km northeast of Sofia .

It is twelve kilometers from the university town of Swishtow, where the Danube reaches its southernmost point (430.37'N). Oresch has 1755 inhabitants (as of December 15, 2010).
