The 11th European Orienteering Championships took place from May 25th to 31st in Jeseník in the Czech Republic . It was the ninth European Championship since the competition was reintroduced in 2000.

Applicants

Possible organizers had until May 19, 2013 to submit their applications to the International Orienteering Association. The Czech association submitted an application with Jeseník as the event center. During the orienteering world championships in 2013 in Vuokatti , the European associations confirmed Jeseník as the venue.
