Orit Noked ( Hebrew אורית נוקד, Born October 25, 1952 in Jerusalem , Israel ) is an Israeli politician and member of the Knesset .

biography

Noked studied law at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem . She then worked as a legal advisor for the kibbutz movement from 1985 to 1992 . From 1996 to 2002 she was the head of the legal department for this movement. She also worked for the Jewish National Fund and for the Israel Property Management Authority .

After the Israeli elections in 1996, she entered the Knesset for the Avoda party . In the 16th legislative period or the 30th government cabinet, Noked was Deputy Minister of the Deputy Prime Minister from January 11, 2005 to November 23, 2005 . She was then from April 1, 2009 to January 19, 2011 in the 18th legislative period or the 32nd government Deputy Minister for Economy and Trade and since January 19, 2011, Minister for Agriculture and Rural Development .
