Orla Venter (born January 1, 1976 in South West Africa ) is a former Namibian athlete who specializes in the high jump .
Athletic career
Orla Venter gained her first international experience in 1992 when she was eliminated from the qualification at the Junior World Championships in Seoul with a skipped 1.70 m. The following year she took part in the World Championships in Stuttgart and was eliminated from the qualification there with 1.75 m. In 1994 she won the Junior African Championships in Algiers for the first time with a height of 1.68 m and thus qualified again for the Junior World Championships in Lisbon , but did not reach the final there with 1.75 m and then finished at the age of only 18 Years of her career as an athlete.
