Oro Valley is a city in the US state of Arizona , United States , with 35,100 inhabitants (as of 2004 ). Arizona State Route 77 runs through the Oro Valley .
Oro Valley has been a suburb of Tucson in Pima County since 1974 .

Demographics
At the time of the United States Census 2000, the Oro Valley was inhabited by 29,700 people. The population density was 360.3 people per km ². There were 13,946 housing units at an average of 169.2 per km ². The Oro Valley population was 93.10% White , 1.06% Black or African American , 0.41% Native American , 1.92% Asian , 0.12% Pacific Islander , 1.83% said others Belonging to races and 1.56% named two or more races. 7.47% of the population declared to be Hispanic or Latinos of any race.
The residents of Oro Valley distributed to 12,249 households out of which 27.0% were living in children under the age of 18. 69.8% of households were married, 4.9% had a female head of household without a husband, and 23.4% were not families. 19.4% of households were made up of individuals and someone lived in 8.2% of all households aged 65 years or older. The average household size was 2.41 and the average family size was 2.76 people.
