Orsolya Tóth , also Orsi (born November 20, 1981 in Békéscsaba ), is a Hungarian film actress .

Life

Orsolya Tóth graduated from the Drama and Film Academy Budapest (Színház- és Filmművészeti Egyetem) with a master's degree in 2004. At that time she had already started to work with Kornél Mundruczó in his theater productions. Her greatest success so far was her participation in the film Johanna , in which she played the title role. The film directed by Mundruczó was shown in Cannes 2005 in the Un Certain Regard category . With the acting musician Félix Lajkó she was in Mundruczó's film Delta 2008 in the main program of Cannes . In 2009 she was honored as a Hungarian “Shooting Star” at the Berlinale .

Under the direction of Mundruczó she has played in six productions so far, with his co-director Viktória Petrányi and András Nagy in four each, with Piroska Molnár, Miklós Székely and Péter Scherer in three each. In János Szász 'film adaptation of the novel The Big Book by Ágota Kristóf , she was given the role of the fictional character "Harelip".
