Ortrun Schätzle , b. Klenert (born April 20, 1934 in Hornberg / Black Forest) is a former German politician ( CDU ).

Life

After graduating from high school in 1953 at the new language grammar school in Villingen and a two-year internship, some of which took place abroad, Schätzle studied at the vocational education institute in Frankfurt am Main from 1955 to 1958 and trained as a trade teacher. From 1958 to 1963 she was a teacher at the Bergius School in Frankfurt am Main and from 1976 to 1979 at the Technical School for Social Pedagogy in Villingen.

In 1975, Schätzle joined the CDU, where she was a member of the South Baden district council and the Baden-Württemberg regional council. From 1982 to 1990 she was district chairwoman of the women's union Lörrach , from 1983 to 1993 district chairwoman of the women's union in South Baden and from 1989 chairwoman of the CDU city association Schopfheim . From 1976 to 1981 she was a councilor in Sankt Georgen . On August 25, 1989, she entered the German Bundestag as a successor . In the federal elections in 1990 and 1994 she had her mandate confirmed by winning the constituency of Lörrach - Müllheim .

Schätzle was married to the authorized signatory and later managing director of ebm-papst St. Georgen , Gerhard Schätzle (1931–2016). Today she lives in the Wiechs district of the city of Schopfheim.
