Orus Edward Jones (born March 8, 1867 in Jackson , Ohio , † August 10, 1963 in Denver , Colorado ) was an American golfer .

biography

Orus Jones played golf at the Inverness Club .

At the Olympic Games in 1904 in St. Louis when were the team event only two teams reported. Without further ado, ten players joined together and started as the United States Golf Association . This team, which also included Jones, won the bronze medal. In the singles, however, he was eliminated in the first round against Nathaniel Moore .

Jones was a dentist.
