Oskar Hickfang

Oskar Wilhelm Hickfang (born February 23, 1885 in Hamburg , † July 19, 1926 in Wunstorf ) was a German civil engineer, university professor and entrepreneur.

Life

Oskar Hickfang was from 1908 to 1918, with interruptions, an assistant for civil engineering at the TH Hannover , from 1912 with the title of government master builder . From 1912 to 1913 he worked as a structural engineer at Louis Eilers, a company for iron building and bridge construction in Hanover, then as a consulting engineer. From 1914 to 1919 he did military service, but from the summer semester of 1916 to the summer semester of 1918 he was also a representative at the chair for statics and iron construction at the TH Hannover. On January 1, 1919, he was appointed as a regular associate professor with the teaching areas of basics of engineering for mechanical engineers and for architects and demolition of iron construction. On July 31, 1922, Hickmann resigned as a professor and became a member of the board of Basalt AG in Linz am Rhein . From 1925 he was the representative of the director of the Hanover screw and nut factory in Wunstorf .
