Oskar Sailer

Oskar Sailer (born May 16, 1913 in Bietigheim , Württemberg, † August 4, 1997 in Ravensburg ) was the district administrator of the Ravensburg district .

Life

Oskar Sailer was the son of a railway foreman. He attended the elementary school in Ludwigsburg and then the humanistic grammar schools in Ludwigsburg and Ravensburg. From 1931 to 1936 he studied philosophy, Catholic theology as well as law and political science in Tübingen, Munich and Bonn. In 1941 he passed his assessor exam.

Between 1941 and 1947, Sailer was a court trainee, court assessor, district judge and judge in Ravensburg and Ludwigsburg, interrupted by military service and American imprisonment. He was succeeded Hermann Bendel in 1947 district administrator of the district of Ravensburg; He was followed by Guntram Blaser in 1978 . Since 1949 he was a member of the State Court for the State of Württemberg-Hohenzollern . Among other things, Sailer was chairman of the supervisory board of Energie -versorgung Schwaben and a member of the working committee of the Oberschwaben company.

Sailer was involved in numerous social projects in the Holy Land . In 1976 he was appointed Knight of the Order of Knights of the Holy Sepulcher by Cardinal Grand Master Maximilien Cardinal de Fuerstenberg and invested on December 4, 1976 by Franz Hengsbach , Grand Prior of the German Lieutenancy . Most recently he was an officer in the Papal Lay Order.

Oskar Sailer was married to the religious educator Rosa Sailer-Feifel; the marriage resulted in two children.
