Theodor Kreeb

Theodor Kreeb (born July 14, 1882 in Schwäbisch Hall , † September 22, 1954 in Waldsee ) was a German civil servant .

Theodor Kreeb attended high schools in Schwäbisch Hall, Rottweil and Reutlingen . From 1901 to 1905 he studied law in Berlin and Tübingen , in 1905 he passed the first and in 1907 the second higher judicial examination. He was a member of the Roigel Tübingen fraternity . In 1908, Kreeb joined the internal administration of Württemberg. On March 20, 1913, he became a bailiff at the Stuttgart District Office , and on May 20, 1920, he was appointed assessor with the title of Senior Bailiff .

From 1923 to 1937 he was the head of the Urach Regional Office , and from 1928 he held the title of District Administrator. After disputes with the Nazi party district leader in Urach Theodor Kreeb from 1937 to 1945 District Administrator of the Ravensburg District and assumed responsibilities for the DRK (German Red Cross). In May 1945 he was suspended by the French military government and released by the American military government in July 1945 . From May 1945 Kreeb was entrusted with humanitarian missions on behalf of the ICRC (International Committee of the Red Cross). On February 28, 1947, Kreeb took age-related retirement. Until December 1947 he was a member of the state committee of the state association of the Red Cross Württemberg-Hohenzollern and chairman of the society for health care. As part of the denazification process, it was classified as "unencumbered" by the State Commissioner's Office for Political Cleansing in Württemberg-Hohenzollern on September 28, 1948. As a special feature, Theodor Kreeb was the only active district administrator in Württemberg between 1933 and 1945 who was not a member of the NSDAP.
