Oskar Schmid

Oskar Schmid (born November 4, 1880 in Ulm , † June 22, 1962 in Immenstaad on Lake Constance ) was a German lawyer .

Career

Schmid studied law in Tübingen and Berlin, did his doctorate in Tübingen with a dissertation on inheritance law, and joined the Württemberg judicial service. From 1927 to 1934 he was Ministerialrat in the Württemberg State Ministry and in this function from 1930 to 1933 he was a full member of the Administrative Court. From 1934 to 1945 he was Senate President at the Stuttgart Higher Regional Court .

After the war ended, he was President of the Ravensburg Regional Court from October 1945 to October 1949 . From January 1, 1951 to June 30, 1953 he was President of the Higher Regional Court of Tübingen and the State Court for the State of Württemberg-Hohenzollern .

Since his studies he was a member of the student union Akademische Gesellschaft Stuttgardia Tübingen , from which he left after 1933.
