Oskar Schwarz

Oskar Schwarz (born June 12, 1886 in Bubenbach near Eisenbach in the Black Forest, † April 28, 1981 in Bremen ) was a German wood turner and member of the Bremen Parliament ( SPD ).

biography

Family, education and work

Schwarz was the son of a woodworker. He attended elementary school in Bubenbach and learned the trade of a turner in Furtwangen in the Black Forest . He attended the trade school in Furtwangen and Vöhrenbach . From 1920 to 1931 he worked as a wood turner in Bremen. From 1931 to 1933 he was an employee of the metal workers' association in Bremen.

After the Second World War he was again from November 1945 to the end of 1953 an employee of the metal workers' association or IG Metall in Bremen.

politics

Schwarz became a member of the SPD and he was a member of the union. In the SPD he took on various functions.

After the First World War, he was a member of the Bremen citizenship from 1924 to 1930 .

After the Second World War he was President of the Bremen Chamber of Labor, which was re-established in 1945 . In 1951, Schwarz and Friedel Düssmann (SPD) were elected as IG Metall chairmen in Bremen , each with a clear majority, against two KPD candidates.
