Oskar Simon (politician)

Oskar Simon (born December 12, 1894 in Zweibrücken , † September 11, 1962 in Pirmasens ) was a German teacher and politician ( Bavarian People's Party , CDU ).

Life

Simon, who was a Catholic denomination, attended elementary school and the humanistic grammar school in Zweibrücken . From 1913 to 1914 he studied in Strasbourg. Between 1914 and 1918 he was a soldier in World War I (most recently as Deputy Sergeant of the Res.). 1919–1922 he continued his studies in Bonn and Erlangen and in 1923 took the exam for teaching mathematics and physics. Then he was a study assistant at the Pirmasens secondary school and from 1930 a teacher at the Pirmasens grammar school . After the seizure of power by the Nazis, he was in "1933 protective custody taken". From 1939 to 1940 he did military service again (last rank was sergeant major). In 1940 he briefly became a teacher at the high school for boys in Würzburg, but was transferred back to the old-language grammar school in Pirmasens in the same year. There he became senior teacher in 1952.

politics

Before 1933 he was a member of the Bavarian People's Party and chairman of the Bavarian People's Party in Pirmasens. In the time of National Socialism he was non-party. From 1936 to 1944 he was a member of the National Socialist teachers' association.

In 1945 he became a member of the Pirmasens purge committee. Politically, he became chairman of the CDU local group Pirmasens. In 1946 he was a member of the Pirmasens district assembly and a member of the state advisory assembly . In this he was a member of the council of elders. On May 7, 1947, the ZSK Neustadt decided to leave the company in service.
