Ben Osmo

Ben Osmo (born before 1975) is an Australian sound engineer .

Life

Osmo began his film career in 1975 as a sound engineer for the television movie Double Dealer . Until the mid-1980s he only had a few engagements in television productions. That all changed after making his film debut, starring Rachel Ward , Bryan Brown and Sam Neill in Ken Cameron's drama The Temptation in 1987 . As a result, he worked on a number of successful Australian and Hollywood productions , including Death Silence , Lorenzo's Oil , A Piglet Called Babe and Oscar and Lucinda . In 2016 he received the Oscar in the Best Sound category for Mad Max: Fury Road together with Chris Jenkins and Gregg Rudloff . It has twice received the AACTA Award in the Best Sound category and was twice nominated for the British Academy Film Award .
