history
The community of Osseltshausen, founded in 1818 with the community edict, comprised the village of Osseltshausen and the wastelands of Reith and Neuhub. On January 1, 1976, the community voluntarily joined the Au market in the Hallertau.

The typical rural character is particularly evident in the numerous surrounding hop gardens in the tertiary hill country .
Culture and sights
The Catholic branch church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary is essentially a late medieval hall building, which was converted to Baroque style in the 18th century. Osseltshausen is well known for its shepherd dance group.
