Osvaldo Batocletti (born January 22 or January 27, 1950 in San Nicolás , Buenos Aires ; † May 17, 2019 ) was an Argentine football player in the position of defender who, after his active career, worked as a football coach from 1998 to 2005 exercised.

Career

As a player

Batocletti spent his first professional years at the Racing Club . After two short stops at CA Lanús and Unión de Santa Fe , he was signed in 1974 by the Mexican first division club León FC , with whom he was under contract until 1977. He then moved to league competitor UANL Tigres , where he spent the most successful time of his playing career and won the championship straight away at the end of the 1977/78 season. Four years later Batocletti was again champions with the Tigres at the end of the 1981/82 season.

As a trainer

After his active career, Batocletti began working as a coach and was, among other things, three times as head coach at the Tigres , where he worked there for the first time in May 1980 as an interim and player coach.
