Jason Trusnik (* 6. June 1984 in Cleveland , Ohio ) is a former American American football poker players in the National Football League (NFL). He played for the New York Jets , the Cleveland Browns, the Miami Dolphins , the Minnesota Vikings and the New Orleans Saints as a linebacker .

college

Trusnik attended Ohio Northern University and successfully played college football for their team, the Polar Bears .

NFL

New York Jets

Since his college team only played in the NCAA Division III, i.e. the third level, he was not considered in the NFL Draft , but was signed by the New York Jets as a free agent . After 9 weeks in the Practice Squad , he played a total of six games in the Special Teams during his rookie year , then sustained an injury and was out for the rest of the season. In 2008 he also appeared as a linebacker .

Cleveland Browns

In 2009 he joined the Cleveland Browns after four games for the Jets . He was swapped for Braylon Edwards along with wide receiver Chansi Stuckey and a third and a fifth round pick in the next NFL draft . He was also used in his new team in defense as well as in the special teams.

Miami Dolphins

In 2011 he moved to the Miami Dolphins , where he stayed for four seasons and was used in every game, albeit rarely as a starter .

Carolina Panthers

In March 2015 he was signed by the Carolina Panthers , but was released before the start of the regular season .

Minnesota Vikings

In November 2015, he came to the Minnesota Vikings and played eight games for this team.

New Orleans Saints

On December 14, 2016, Trusnik was signed by the New Orleans Saints to replace the injured Terron Armstead . After the end of the season he was released into the Free Agency .

In 2018 Trusnik finally announced his retirement from active sports.
