Terron Armstead (* 23. July 1991 in Cahokia , Illinois ) is an American American Footballer in the National Football League (NFL). He plays for the New Orleans Saints as an offensive tackle .

college

Armstead showed athletic talent early on. He also successfully practiced the shot put and discus throw at high school . He attended the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff and played for their team, the Golden Lions, on the position of left offensive tackle college football . In three seasons he played a total of 37 games.

NFL

In the NFL Draft 2013 he was selected by the New Orleans Saints in the 3rd round as a total of 75th player, after he was 4.71 seconds in the NFL Combine . achieved the best time an offensive lineman had ever run in the 40-yard sprint . In his rookie season he was used as a left offensive guard . He played in 8 games, two of them as a starter . He also held this position in the following seasons, but was unable to contest a season in full due to his bad luck with injuries. In May 2016 he received a five-year contract 64,500,000 US dollars .
Due to a hip injury, Armstead was initially out in 2017, but was then able to play 10 games.
