Osvaldo Pangrazio

Osvaldo Pangrazio Kollak (born November 7, 1957 in Asunción ) is a former Paraguayan football player who now works as a surgeon and traumatologist .

Career

Soccer

Pangrazio started his career at the Paraguayan football club Club Presidente Hayes and made his debut in the first division against Olimpia in 1977 . Since Hayes was determined at the end of the season as relegated, he then moved to Nacional . After his engagement there, he played in Mexico for CD Veracruz and in Colombia for Deportivo Pereira . In 1981 he returned to Paraguay and first played for Guaraní and then moved to Olimpia, where he spent most of his career as a professional footballer. There he became a master several times and became a crowd favorite. The last club of his career was Cerro Porteño . In the course of his training as a traumatologist, he played for a few weeks at SG Wattenscheid 09 and later as a spare time at SV Weitmar 09.

During his time as a footballer, Pangrazio studied medicine and successfully completed his studies in 1986. In the following year, Pangrazio moved to Bochum to focus on his specialization as a traumatologist. Until his return to Paraguay in 1997, he worked as a doctor at the Bergmannsheil University Hospital in Bochum . In Paraguay he worked as a team doctor for the Olimpia club until 1999, and later as a team doctor for the Paraguayan national soccer team , which he looked after during the 2006 soccer World Cup in Germany. Today he works exclusively as a doctor for the Migone and San Roque Clinic in Asunción, but is still a member of the sports medicine committee of the Paraguayan national team.
