Oswald Klikovits

Oswald Klikovits (born September 10, 1959 in Eisenstadt , Burgenland ) is an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and was a member of the National Council from October 28, 2008 to 2013 .

Life

Oswald Klikovits attended the Eisenstadt-Wolfgarten elementary school from 1966 to 1970 and then the secondary school in Eisenstadt until 1974. From 1974 to 1978 he was at the upper secondary school of the Eisenstadt Wolfgarten high school , where he graduated.

Klikovits began his professional career in 1979 at the security guard in Vienna and in 1980 became an employee of the federal management of the ÖAAB , the workers' organization of the ÖVP. From 1981 to 1983 he was federal secretary of the youth department of the Christian Trade Union Party (FCG) in the Austrian Trade Union Federation (ÖGB). From 1983 to 1991 he worked as a consultant in the Lower Austrian Chamber of Labor . From 1992 to 2003 he was ÖAAB state secretary and has been managing director of Hilfswerk Immobilien GmbH since 2004.

Oswald Klikovits is married and has two children.

From 1985 to 1991 he was federal chairman of the FCG youth and from 1991 to 1994 federal deputy chairman of the FCG. From 1992 to 1999 he was ÖVP local party chairman and councilor in Siegendorf in Burgenland and from 1994 to 2004 he was vice-president of the Chamber of Labor. From 2003 to 2014 he was ÖAAB regional chairman. From 2007 to 2014 he was regional party chairman of the ÖVP in Burgenland.

From May 27, 2004 until his election as a member of the National Council in 2008, Klikovits was a member of the Burgenland Landtag . He was elected member of the National Council in the constituency of Burgenland Nord in the Austrian National Council election in 2008 and was sworn in on October 28, 2008.
