Oswald Ziegler
Oswald Ziegler (born June 21, 1933 in Bauen ; † April 28, 2014 ) was a Swiss politician ( CVP ).
From 1979 to 1987, Ziegler mayor of construction . From 1975 to 1987 he was a member of the District Administrator of the Canton of Uri. In 1984/1985 he was President of the District Administrator. From 1982 to 1987 Ziegler was president of the canton's CVP . He was elected to the Council of States in 1987 and was a member of it until 1995. In the Council of States he was a member of various commissions, including as President of the Security Policy Commission and as a member of the Finance Commission.
Ziegler was also active in the economic environment. For 31 years he was Chairman of the Board of Directors of Auto AG Uri , which is a public transport company. He was also President of the Treib-Seelisberg-Bahn and chaired the Urner Kantonalbank as President of the Bank Council.
