Oswald von Rittberg

Oswald Graf von Rittberg (born October 26, 1832 in Stangenberg , Stuhm district ; † February 28, 1908 in Balfanz , Neustettin district ) was a manor owner, district administrator of the Ueckermünde district and a member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Rittberg received lessons from private tutors and attended grammar school in Danzig until 1850 . He then joined the 1st Jäger Battalion and served there until spring 1863. In August 1863 he was appointed district administrator to Ueckermünde , where he was made an honorary citizen in 1888. He was also a member of the Provincial Parliament of the Province of Pomerania from 1886 to 1907 . From 1878 to 1881 and from 1884 to 1890 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency district of Stettin 2 (Ueckermünde, Usedom , Wollin ) and the German Conservative Party .
