Theodor Wengler

Theodor Wengler (born April 10, 1933 in Stettin ) is a German lawyer .

Life

Theodor Wengler had to flee from his hometown at the end of the Second World War . He completed his Abitur at the Eberhard-Ludwigs-Gymnasium Stuttgart and then studied law in Tübingen , Bonn and Heidelberg . After a short service as a state official in Stuttgart , Wengler went into the federal service. He worked for 30 years in the Federal Ministry of Finance , most recently as a ministerial advisor , until he retired in 1998.

Wengler then conducted intensive research into the history of the former province of Pomerania . In 2005 he received his doctorate from the Ernst-Moritz-Arndt University of Greifswald with his thesis "The Financial Management of the Pomeranian Provincial Association " .

Theodor Wengler is a member of the Society for Pomeranian History, Archeology and Art , whose Bonn department he heads. He has been an honorary member of this society since 2017.
