Otari Ionovich Arshba
Otari Ionowitsch Arshba ( Russian Отари Ионович Аршба ; born April 12, 1955 in Sukhumi , Abkhazia ASSR ) is a Russian politician of the United Russia party .
Assba comes from an Abkhazian - Georgian family and lived in Batumi , Georgia until 1968 , then in Moscow . In 1978 he graduated from the KGB University in Moscow and worked for the KGB and later the FSB until 1994 , most recently as a colonel. At times he was an advisor to the later first President of Abkhazia, Vladislav Ardsinba . From the 1990s, Arschba worked in business, including in the Evraz Group , from 1998 to 2003 as Vice President of Evraz Holding. During this time he became confidante of the longtime governor of Kemerovo Oblast Aman Tulejew . Otari Arshba has been a member of the Russian State Duma since 2003 , initially from Kemerovo Oblast until 2011, and from Sverdlovsk Oblast since 2011 .
