Otmar Fischer

Otmar Fischer (born July 6, 1934 in Friedelsheim ) is a Protestant pastor i. R. and Palatinate dialect poet . He is known for his dialect sermons in his parish Weisenheim am Berg under the motto: In de Palz de Parre goes with the Peif into the Kärsch .

Live and act

The son of a winemaker and forest worker is still connected to his hometown. He intends to convert his parents' house there, which belonged to his son who died in 2004, into a museum. According to his last will, the house should be made available to the community together with a foundation of € 26,000.

Fischer's first parish was Kandel , where he worked as a vicar and pastor from 1962 to 1966 . He worked for 30 years until 1999 in Weisenheim am Berg and Bobenheim am Berg , which are connected by parish office.

Fischer is involved in local politics for the SPD in the community and in the district. From 1974 to 1995 he was honorary local mayor of Weisenheim am Berg. He has also been a member of the Freinsheim Council since 1974 .

Fischer is married to Johanna Maria Fischer, the couple have three children.

Foundations

In addition to the Friedelsheim Foundation from the assets of his deceased son from 2006, Fischer also donated the Pfarrer-Otmar-Fischer-Stiftung Betreutes Wohnen Weisenheim / Bg - Bobenheim / Bg from the proceeds of his publications in 1999 .
